The right seating layout makes guests comfortable and keeps your party flowing. Here are four layouts that work for holiday events, with space and rental counts.
1. Banquet Style
Round tables of eight spread around the room. Best for seated dinners, galas and weddings. Allow about 100 square feet per table.
2. Family Style
Long rows of 6 ft tables placed end to end. Best for Thanksgiving, Christmas dinner and reunions. Each table seats 6 to 8.
3. Cocktail Style
Highboy tables with limited seating. Best for office parties, open houses and New Year's Eve. One table per 8 to 10 guests.
4. Mixed Layout
A combination of dinner tables, highboys and a lounge area. Best for long parties where guests eat, mingle and dance.
